Mixed Media Workshop went three-for-three at the Davey Awards, which celebrate “Small Firms, Big Ideas.” Winning Gold Awards were our sites for Sony Pictures Classics’ AN EDUCATION and THE LAST STATION. Our site for Ethan Higbee and Adam Bhala-Lough’s THE UPSETTER took home a Silver Award. Big thanks to Karen Yung for her work on each of these sites, and to SPC, Ethan and Adam for the work!

Over the last few months we’ve been working on a site for Emilio Estevez’s new film, THE WAY. It’s been an exciting week on that front. THE WAY was accepted into the Toronto International Film Festival, and we’re launching more of the expanded site today! There’s plenty more to come on the site, we’ll keep you posted.

We were lucky enough to work on the website for THE UPSETTER, Ethan Higbee and Adam Bhala Lough’s documentary on Lee “Scratch” Perry. THE UPSETTER is now popping up in this month’s Rolling Stone! We’ve been hard at work lately on a few projects. Very much in progress is a website for the Emilio Estevez directed film THE WAY. We’re pretty excited about the future of this project and will have an update when we’re ready to share!

Meanwhile we’ve been putting out a few mini-sites, most recently for the Sony Pictures Classics film WILD GRASS.

Sony Pictures Classics cleaned up at the Academy Award nominations this morning. Eight of their films were nominated for a total of thirteen awards. We were lucky enough to work on (or be working on) sites for six of them; AN EDUCATION (Best Picture, Best Actress, and Best Adapted Screenplay), THE LAST STATION (Best Actress and Supporting Actor), A PROPHET and THE SECRET IN THEIR EYES (Best Foreign Language Film), COCO BEFORE CHANEL (Best Costume Design) and PARIS 36 (Best Original Song).

Sony Pictures Classics’ AN EDUCATION is raking in the nominations and awards. Carey Mulligan has been nominated for a Best Actress Golden Globe, and AN EDUCATION itself has been popping up on a number of critics’ “Ten Best of ’09″ lists. We have a splash page up for Sony Pictures Classics’ THE LAST STATION. Look for the full site to launch by Christmas. The film is garnering a lot of critical acclaim, including Golden Globe nominations for Helen Mirren and Christopher Plummer.
